Structural biology aims to elucidate the three-dimensional structures of macromolecules, providing critical insights into the functions and interactions of proteins and nucleic acids. This understanding is essential for effective drug design. By analyzing the structure of biological targets, researchers can predict and develop drugs with high affinity and selectivity. This internship program will not only cover the fundamental principles of structural biology, but also provides students with training in practical techniques such as protein purification, crystallization, and artificial intelligence-assisted structural analysis.
We aim for students participating in this internship to appreciate the pivotal role of structural biology in advancing modern science.
>Start and end dates of the fieldwork 2-3 months during the project implementation year
>Interns will receive foundational training:
• Lectures of Structural Biology: Understanding how the structure of proteins and nucleic acids influences their function in pathogenesis.
• Techniques in Structural Biology: Protein purification, crystallization, and artificial intelligence-assisted structural analysis
>Student living expenses: 15,000 NTD/month
