Yang Research Group (YRG), led by Prof. Shang-Hua Yang from the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University, is seeking outstanding undergraduate and graduate students for full-time research internships in 2025.

Our group focuses on three key areas at the forefront of terahertz technology, deep sensing & imaging, and 6G communication:
1. Deep Terahertz Imaging We develop advanced terahertz computational imaging systems powered by physical neural networks. These systems enable multi-dimensional signal transformations, revealing hidden information and overcoming hardware limitations. Our work achieves real-time, super-resolution, multi-scale, and phase-retrieval imaging capabilities.
2. Terahertz Sensing & Imaging for Advanced Material Exploration Our team is building a compact terahertz-based remote sensing system for high-speed, non-destructive material characterization. This technology provides vital electrical parameters like carrier mobility and conductivity mapping. With deep penetration, time-resolved analysis, and enhanced imaging capabilities, we accelerate advancements in fields such as spintronics, topological materials, metamaterials, green energy, and optoelectronics.
3. Tbps-level Wireless Communication YRG is driving innovation in high-speed terahertz communication for 6G networks, providing a critical platform for channel characterization and the development of advanced digital signal processing techniques essential for next-generation wireless communication networks.

Applicant Requirements:
• A first-class or upper-second-class honors degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline.
• Strong proficiency in mathematics and programming.
• Additional research experience at the master’s level in areas such as data modeling, computer vision, optics, or statistics is a plus but not required.

At YRG, English is the official working language, ensuring a globally collaborative research environment. A monthly scholarship of NT$15,000 for a minimum 4-month duration.
