Program Goals
The goal of the CJCU Research Internship Program for Mapúa University is to establish sustainable international collaboration between Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) and the School of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering and Sciences of Mapúa University in the Philippines. We aim to strengthen the reputation and World University Rankings of both CJCU and Mapúa University through international collaboration and joint authorship of research publications.

Achievements
Laboratories at CJCU have started receiving master's students from Mapúa University's Chemistry, Bioengineering, and Chemical Engineering departments for research internships since 2020. To date, we have hosted 14 students from Mapúa and co-authored a total of 9 articles in Scopus-indexed journals and 12 articles in SCI-indexed journals with the visiting students.

Requirements
1. Research Advisory: An advisor is arranged for each visiting student to carry out a specific research topic based on the professional expertise of the advisor.
2. Laboratory safety: Visiting students are required to comply with the laboratory safety rules of CJCU.
3. Publication: We expect the participating student to prepare at least one manuscript for submission to an SCI-indexed journal by the end of the internship program.

Subsidiaries
Each visiting student receives a monthly allowance of $15,000 New Taiwan Dollars for a period of 6 months, funded by the Taiwan Experience Education Program of the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. Dining and accommodations Safe and comfortable CJCU dormitory rooms are arranged for the visiting students. Cafeterias and convenience stores are available on campus. More restaurants at the Mitsui Outlet Park Tainan near our campus.
