Overview:
Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages is the only tertiary institution in Taiwan dedicated to language education, nurturing numerous language professionals who are highly regarded by students both domestically and internationally. The Department of Foreign Language Instruction, in particular, focuses on language teaching and application as its founding mission. In recent years, with the rise of personalized digital and information education, the department has actively invested in this field. It has also signed a collaborative agreement with YiJia Junior High School in the Kaohsiung Luchu Science Park, actively promoting bilingual education and integrating information technology into teaching. The project is led by Professor Sun Yun-fang, who, in addition to her involvement in teaching and research, has been engaged in practical foreign language teaching in junior high schools for the past ten years. The principal of YiJia Junior High School in Kaohsiung City, Lee Wen-chin, has collaborated with Professor Sun for many years and is a leading practitioner in international education, information-integrated teaching, and the implementation of the new curriculum in Kaohsiung and even Taiwan.

Project Goals:
Based on Apple's IOS system, the project aims to integrate the Cool English platform developed by the Ministry of Education and the LioLoNote School system tools, creating a digital model for interactive teaching and independent learning on tablets suitable for junior high school students.

Internship Objectives: During your internship you will:
7/1-7/31: Engage experts to guide the usage of LioLoNote School system tools and familiarize with the Cool English platform.
8/1-8/31: Collaborate with English teachers to jointly design teaching materials that integrate the system tools into real classroom teaching scenarios.
9/1-11/30: Take Chinese Lessons and serve as teaching assistant
12/1-12/25: Conduct student surveys and analyze learning outcomes to objectively present the implementation effectiveness of this project.

Qualifications:
1. 18 years old and/or above
2. Native or native like speakers of English from non-ROC nationalities
3. Active, enthusiastic, and responsible university undergraduate or graduates students are welcomed.
4. Recommendation letter, Reference or Institute’s Approval
5. Commitment to complete the full Internship period: 7/1/2024-12/25/2024

We will offer:

2. Round trip economic class air fare. (Please provide purchase receipt, and boarding pass for reimbursement)

5. Scholarship NT$15,000 per month (approximately US$ 430-480) up to 6 months.
