1. Research Area: The research spirit of this laboratory is inspired by nature, focusing on the synthesis of iron-based nitric oxide release molecules (Fe-NORM, such as Roussin’s Red Esters, RREs). The study ranges from small molecule Fe-NORMs to polymerized nano-micelles, examining their properties, structures, conditions, and the quantification of nitric oxide release. A significant aspect of the research is the incorporation of various fluorescent groups into Fe-NORM to trace the pathway and reaction mechanisms of drugs within biological systems. These findings not only contribute back to nature, such as in the research for controlling the growth of the Egyptian mosquito, but also hold potential in cancer treatment, specifically in normalizing the blood vessels around tumors. Additionally, Pyrene-Fe-NORM, a series of molecules, has been confirmed to be applicable in light-emitting materials and as catalysts for hydrogen production in energy applications.

2. Specific Industrial Applications: Control of Egyptian Mosquitoes, Pharmaceutical - Anticancer Synergistic Drugs, Luminescent Materials, Zero Gap AEM Water Electrolysis Green Hydrogen Modules. To help students meet living expenses, most programs provide scholarships to eligible TEEP participants, with an MOE-mandated maximum stipend per month. (14,000 NT dollar/month)
