The Marine Sediment Monitoring, Recycling, and Utilization program aims to address the growing issues of marine pollution. Young talents from the Philippines are invited to develop innovative ideas in the field of marine sediment monitoring, remediation, and recycling.
This program is hosted by the Center for the Study of Sediments of the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (southeastern part of Taiwan), known for marine sediment research, equipped with traditional and advanced facilities, and manned with a group of well-published and highly competitive scientists. Besides sediment research, our laboratory works on environmental and ecological processes, integrating environmental and ecological data to model the impacts of pollution on aquatic biota. Masters’ or senior Master students in marine science, marine environmental engineering, fisheries, and related fields can participate in this 6-month program. The students can receive a monthly stipend of 12,000 NTD. You are welcome to join our research and experience the Taiwanese culture and southern Taiwan’s picturesque.
