Don't miss the chance to take part in the cutting-edge research conducted by the Integrated MechanoBio Systems Laboratory! This internship opportunity is based in the NCKU Biomedical Engineering Department, one of Taiwan's most prestigious research institutes, known for inventing and patenting a plethora of technologies. Located in the vibrant city of Tainan, you're guaranteed to be captivated by the city's rich history and abundant, delicious, yet affordable cuisine. We encourage scholars with an interest in bioimaging, graphical user interface, or frontend programming to join our project focused on developing a program for processing images obtained from the laboratory. Your role will involve developing an interface designed to simplify data input and processing. It's expected that potential interns will collaborate with a team comprising collaborators from various prestigious institutes. If you also have experience in cell culture and proØciency in the Python programming language, you can join our project aimed at developing AI/machine learning-based algorithms for identifying potential drug synergies. This project employs three-dimensional (3D) tumor models as a platform for discovering synergies between drug combinations. Your responsibility will be to develop an algorithm to analyze data obtained from wet-lab experiments and identify any potential synergies between drug cocktails. We welcome participants to engage in our cancer research projects and become a part of our Taiwanese-style lab, which offers a culturally diverse, vibrant academic and research environment. This program is designed to provide a monthly stipend ranging from NT$10,000 to NT$15,000 for a maximum duration of six months (students are expected to cover accommodation, Ùight tickets, VISA application, insurance, and miscellaneous fees)
