Students will use a state-of-art live-cell imaging system to learn how a virus interacts with it hosts to benefit its proliferation. The course will teach the principle of live-cell imaging and how the technique can be used to study different facets of biology. Students will have an opportunity to observe the dynamic process of influenza A virus infection in real time and learn how the live-cell imaging system can be applied to their own research fields.
