The nanostructured oxide semiconductors are easy and flexible to prepare via physical and chemical approaches and have been used in various fields including green energy, wireless communication, environmental protection, as well as electronic and optoelectronic devices. We aim to recruit young participants interested in the synthesis of oxide nanoparticles for photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes or the preparation of oxide thin films for photodetector applications.

By providing funding and utilizing my extensive experience in the preparation, characterization, and application of oxide semiconductor materials. I will provide participating students with the following support, including: studies regarding the synthesis of oxide semiconductors and their application to photocatalytic degradation or UV photodetectors, training in experimental data collection and organization, and lastly, writing and submitting papers to an academic journal. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience and learn about life in Taiwan.

Scholarship/Grants: During the study and visit period in Taiwan, we can offer scholarship of 15,000 NTD per month, which covers living expenses in Taiwan, including living accommodation, transport and meals.

Duration of the study: Over the duration of the 3 months, assistance regarding finding accommodation and other necessary support for daily life, laboratory trips, visits and meetings will be provided.

Participation requirements:
• Undergraduate or first year postgraduate students majoring in material science and chemical engineering or semiconductor materials related fields.
• English language skills are essential for effective communication and learning.
• Basic knowledge and skills in laboratory safety.
• The rules and guidelines for safety in the laboratory should be followed in the duration of the program.

Prospective members interested in joining the program are requested to provide the following information:
1. Personal resume or curriculum vitae.
2. Brief research proposal for laboratory observation and studies.
3. Plans regarding your stay in Taiwan (e.g. daily life arrangements, schedule).
