Gaol: The main goal of this project is to “Establish Connection” with India, other SEA countries, Europe, and USA to invite Graduate students for a less than 3-month internship. Students who are pursuing the PhD in mid-level state universities, Institutes (IITs, IISc) and Central Universities will be recruited (Max 3 persons for 3.2 months) to carry out part of their research, and publish their research with Host University.

Benefit: Joint publication, collaboration, mutual visit, human resource to study in Taiwan and Cultural exchange

Plan: The PI at Tunghai University is an expert in the field of carbon dioxide reduction and water splitting photocatalysis and electrocatalysis. The Internship Program offers Ph.D. students the opportunity to conduct research under the guidance of the PI and advisors from the host university. It is anticipated that specific analytical results can be accomplished and submitted for publication during their stay in Taiwan. Additionally, efforts are being made to strengthen collaboration between Tunghai University and partner universities, fostering future cooperation. Discussions with the PI involve designing projects and recruiting interested students to come to Taiwan for learning.

Internship Period: Starts at 2024/06/01 and ends at 2024/12/31

Intership cover:
1. The student will be offered with 15,000 NTD per month (~500 USD/month) which we intend to cover your airfare, off campus rental house accommodation fare, basic monthly living fare and basic medical insurance. Note: You have to find your own off-campus rental house accommodation nearby THU campus [THU will help you to find rent accommodation for you].
2. Miscellaneous expenses could occur at Host university/PI lab (transportation, meals, showing around, other expenses, visiting other lab). 3. Handling charges for the assistant or other charges
4. Apart from the stipend, you are allowed to free access to our high-tech research facilities on our campus and to participate/attend conferences and special lectures during your internship.

Eligibly:
1. Must hold Citizenship of any Asian/Europe/USA countries except Taiwan.
2. Current undergraduates/graduates (master/doctoral) students or graduated/degree holders of bachelors/masters or company/industry workers are eligible to apply for this internship.
3. The educational background must be in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a field related to materials science.
