SEARCH PROGRAMS

Overview:
This training program is intended to train the individual in the areas of lab on a chip as well as the development and application of microfluidic device. The program aims to provide the trainee with basic knowledge and hands-on experience on microsystem and biochips, especially to biosensing device and organ-on-a-chip that are required for the understanding of physics of microfluidics, biosensing mechanism, and actuators, and physiologies of humans. Specifically, the trainee will undergo rigorous training in the basic techniques in microdevice fabrication, microfluidic system, cell culture, fluorescent staining, western blotting, immunofluorescence, microscopy, flow cytometry, and confocal microscopy.

Program Structure:
1. Professional Lectures:
• Microfluidic principle.
• Micro and nano physics
• Microfabrication
2. Laboratory Internship:
• In Prof. Yu-Jui Fan’Lab, and join lab meeting every week.
• Training in laboratory skills, safety protocols, experimental design, data handling, and statistical analysis.
• A chance to conduct an oral presentation showcasing your research at the end of the internship.

Eligibility and Requirements:
1. Background in life sciences, engineering or related field.
2. Proficiency in English.
3. People who can stay at least for two months duration of the program.

Benefits for Participants:
1. Living subsidy of TWD 15,000 per month.
