Global warming has become a serious worldwide problem because of the continuously increasing carbon dioxide emission. As a result, the 2015 Paris agreement has announced the NET zero carbon policy to be achieved in 2050. This is a big challenge for most developed countries including Taiwan. Sun is the most important and inexhaustible clean energy source in the earth. Effective utilization of solar energy could be the fastest pathway for human being to get rid of fossil fuels and their environmental concerns. Perovskite solar cells (PSC) utilizing organo-metal halide perovskite absorbers have shown great potential as the next generation solar cells due to its high efficiency, low production costs and low CO2 emission while making it. While PSCs have become highly efficient in a decade, it is generally acknowledged many challenges remain before they can become a real and competitive photovoltaic technology. One of these challenges of PSC technology toward commercialization is maintaining high efficiency at scale. The materials, fabrication methods or even device structure reported in laboratory high-efficiency devices maybe not stable or not suitable to be used at large scale. Aiming for pushing PSC toward commercial applications, we have endeavored ourselves in developing various technologies/materials/processes with controllability and reproducibility. In this intership program, we welcome ambitious students to join our activities. Stipend for local expensive, accomodation will be provided. Preferrable 3 months stay minimum and can be up to 6 months.
