The Research Center for Emerging Viral Infections (RCEVI) at Chang Gung University was founded in 2009, and has been studying emerging/reemerging viruses for a long period of time. The outcomes of talent development played a signigicant role during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, encompassing rapid virus identification, isolation of virus strains, establishment of gene databases for tracking infection sources, as well as advancements in vaccine and antiviral research. This program aims to delve into the molecular mechanisms of how viruses enter host cells, the infection process, and the host's immune response. By employing an interdisciplinary approach encompassing biology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics, we will systematically investigate this interaction, to provide new strategies for the prevention and treatment of future viral infections. The recommended duration of participation is one to three months, with monthly scholarships provided by the Ministry of Education. We hope participants have an interest in viruses. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us for discussion. We look forward to having you.
