To develop an image based biomarker for neurodegenerative diseases
Background
Currently there existed no reliable biomarkers for severity or progression of neurodegenerative diseases. The diagnosis still remained clinical. However, the subtle and multifocal brain changes can lead to motor or cognitive impairments in patients with neurodegenerative diseases, which may be detectable by using novel imaging techniquesm such as diffusion MRI.
Aim
We are seeking motivated students to join our team in the pursuit of developing advanced methods for brain imaging and using artificial intelligence. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in neurodegenerative disease and make a meaningful impact on healthcare in the elder society.
About Us
Chang Gung University is a leading research institution in Taiwan. Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences is committed to improving the early detection and management of neurodegenerative diseases through cutting-edge technology in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and international collaboration.
Benefit of the Participants
1. Contribute to the development of brain MRI reconstruction.
2. Collaborate on the creation of deep learning models for distinguishing symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases.
3. Assist in the establishment and maintenance of an extensive brain imaging database, combining MRI data with clinical behavioral assessments.
4. Engage in international collaborations to validate models with diverse populations and gain insights into brain-related diseases.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skill and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in brain imaging.
