The goal of our laboratory is to discover new biomarkers and develop predictive models, hoping to accurately predict good outcomes after stroke and allow patients and families to plan ahead and control risks. We will train students in molecular epidemiological methods for cognitive impairment after stroke, including epidemiological study design, statistical analysis of data, and molecular experiments. Integrating environmental and genetic factors to develop a precise growth trajectory of cognitive dysfunction in patients with ischemic stroke will help develop more effective long-term management and care plans. We have plan for 6 months and a series of courses, such as: epidemiology courses, big data and biostatistical data analysis courses, molecular experimental operations, and research ethics courses. In addition, experimental progress discussions will be held with students every week to confirm that students can successfully perform post-stroke cognitive impairment research. Ideal candidates for applying our TEEP program are whoever have preliminary skills of epidemiology, statistical skill or molecular wet lab trainings. Hope to see you in Taiwan!!
