This program gives participants opportunities to work on Smart Biosensor projects for a period of 4-10 months, providing a learning platform for those who are interested in studying nanobiomaterials application in biosensor. In particular, participants will be trained to get familiar with nanomaterial works (including nanobiomaterial preparation, molecular analysis, biosensor preparation, etc.) and microneedles fabrication.

In our lab, we combine medicine and engineering science to develop innovative nanobiomaterials and medical devices to solve current limitations in medical examinations and treatments. We also have developed nanozymes and microneedles to construct colorimetric biosensors for rapid test, saving exhausting clinical examination time and giving precise results for timely treatments.

For learning activities, the students can join the biosensor class, and participate in many hands-on experiments including nanomaterials preparation, biomaterials preparation, microneedles preparation, biosensor design, colorimetric and various types of wafer fabrication techniques. Based on this training program, the students can even choose a topic to study and will have the opportunities to attend the International Symposium on biosensors to fulfill the academic exchange experience.

Last but not least, participants can pursue their Smart Biosensor or other biomedical topics in a Taiwanese-style lab and culturally diverse vibrant academic/research environment. This program is planned to provide NT$15,000/month for up to 10 months (accommodation, flight tickets, VISA application and miscellaneous fees should be borne by the students).
