Project Overview: Regenerative medicine and cell therapy demand precision therapeutics for improved patient outcomes. Key focuses include mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy, with its regenerative and immunomodulatory properties. Moreover, optimizing MSC application involves the strategic use of biomaterials and manipulation of mitochondrial functions, expanding its potential for various conditions. However, there’s a shortage of experts adept in combining MSC utilization with biomaterials, mitochondrial manipulation, and immunomodulation. Our proposal outlines a comprehensive strategy, spanning biomaterial development and mitochondrial manipulation to explore MSC effects on various diseases and investigate modulatory properties from diverse sources. This internship program aims to cultivate specialized skills, elevate Taiwan’s stature in regenerative medicine, foster global collaboration, and facilitate transformative breakthroughs in healthcare.
