The Computational Intelligence and Robotics (CIR) Lab, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), is now recruiting senior college students (3rd and 4th year) and master students to do internship in 2022/2023. The duration of internship is flexible and can be determined in consultation with each candidate.

The CIR Lab supervised by Prof. Chen-Chien Hsu is conducting diverse researches by combining robotics and AI. In particular, a vision-based learning from demonstration (LfD) robotic system is currently under investigation, where a mimic robot with mobile capability is developed through learning from human demonstrations to understand the behaviors of the demonstrator, so that the robot can reproduce the tasks demonstrated by the human. To achieve these objectives, several critical techniques, including object detection, action recognition, motion planning, grasping strategies, robot navigation, are required.

Participating students can have the opportunity to build knowledge in deep learning and robotics to design, build, and test the LfD robotic system. It is expected that students work along with fellow students here at CIR Lab under the guidance from a mentor. The students are expected to produce solid research results and write a report before the end of the visit. Those with excellent research capabilities after the internship have good chances to receive financial support to pursuit their MS or PhD study here at NTNU. Prospect students are encouraged to visit our website at: for more information of the research areas, research performances, and projects currently under investigation of the CIR Lab.
