SEARCH PROGRAMS

1. Through the exploration of Taiwan's history, literature and culture during the Japanese colonial period, and visits of the three cities and towns in northeastern Taiwan, namely Yilan, Luodong and Su'ao (Nanfang'ao), students will have a better understanding of Taiwan's rich and diverse literary history and the formation of Taiwan's diverse ethnic groups and the development of Taiwan's current pluralistic context. They are expected to reach the consensus to respecting diversity, which would contribute to the peace of East Asia and the world.

2. This program will provide the following four types of courses or seminar:
(1) Chinese language courses,
(2) Research and discussion on topics such as Taiwanese literature during the Japanese colonial period and Lanyang literature (including Chinese literature, Japanese literature, Aboriginal literature, etc.)
(3) Lanyang Historical Site Tour and Nature Investigation (Yilan, Luodong, Su'ao, Nanfang'ao, etc.)
(4) Local food in Yilan and agricultural education and international food culture exchanges (local, organic, carbon reduction, international, diversified)

3. Student obligation: They must participate during the course of study. As the courses end, they must present their reflections in the form of videos or written reports, etc., and publicly publish them on the websites, such as Facebook, blog, Youtube or IG, etc. The length of the film lasts at least 3 minutes, and 1500 words for a written report.
