SEARCH PROGRAMS

National Kaohsiung Normal University is now inviting foreign youths to do short-term professional internship in Taiwan, as well as gaining an in-depth experience in Taiwan's smart educational technology industries. To align with Taiwan’s “The 5+2 Industrial Transformation Plan”, the goals of this program:
(1) Understanding the domestic "5+2" industrial environment, education digital system and workplace culture, cultivating global mobility, and preparing themselves for the job market.
(2) Establishing smart campus and education platform and enhancing cloud big data analysis.

Applicants must fulfill:
(1) 18 years old and/or above.
(2) Native or native-like speakers of English from non-ROC nationalities
(3) Active, enthusiastic, and responsible university students or graduates (preferably any experience related to institutes)
(4) Recommended by a reference, referred by university teacher(s) or approved by an institution.

Internship period: up to 6 months per person at maximum Scholarship: NT$ 15,000 (approx. USD$ 430-$480) per person/month for people coming from overseas (to cover living expense, accommodation, and health insurance)

**Please note that the scholarship does not cover the quarantine fee when arriving in Taiwan, following the regulations issued by the CDC.

** Short-Term internship including:
(1) Workplace internship and practice Participating in relevant "5+2" institutions or educational technology industries for gaining knowledge and experience of comprehensive education platform (including smart administration, smart learning, smart management, smart community, smart green energy, smart healthcare, technology and education integration, teaching material system, test (service) system, language education, digital talent cultivation and other comprehensive education systems.)
(2) SMART technology related EMI and bilingual professional courses Integrating "5+2" digital education innovation, conducting relevant talent cultivation and training as teaching assistant, assisting with smart technology related EMI, ESP and EWP courses, and helping faculty and students with enhancing EMI and bilingual teaching and learning, and inspiring reflection on global issues and diverse differences.
(3) SMART campus digitalization Providing high-tech resources and professional assistance, highlighting the importance of international civil society cooperation, and developing modules for common prosperity and common good.
(4) Aboriginal science and technology literacy activities and exchanges Promoting aboriginal digital education courses according to aboriginal features and demands, in order to minimize the gap between urban and rural areas, enhancing the aboriginal students’ interdisciplinary mobility and digital literacy.

NKNU will offer:
(1) Language exchange and experience sharing with local students (buddies) for 4-6 hours per week.
(2) Arrange homestay/dining experiences
(3) Mandarin courses and cultural immersion activities, such as: Chinese Calligraphy and tea ceremony.

Important Notes:
(1) Interns recruited by this program shall comply with all regulations in R. O. C.
(2) All the incomers are subjected to the CDC regulations to prevent the spread of COVID.
(3) This program description contains Chinese and English versions. The Chinese version shall prevail if any discrepancies or ambiguity occur between the two versions.
