The project develops new materials for photodetectors. These materials are nanoparticles and thin films based on different materials such as carbon, perovskites, metal, and other inorganic substances. Two terminal devices are made that detects light and convert them to electrical signals. Our goal is to have devices that produces detectable current at very low light intensities. The next goal is to have wavelength sensitive detection; either broadband or selected UV, VIS, or IR bands.
