Our lab develops functional polymers and nanomaterials for membrane fabrication and modification. Currently, we are focused on applying these membranes into organic mixture separation, organic solvent purification and recovery, desalination, wastewater treatment, valuable molecule recovery, carbon dioxide capture, and oxygen enrichment. Via the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP), we welcome students interested in our field of study to join us. We offer a friendly learning environment to assist students in gradually familiarizing themselves with the lab life and environment. It is a great opportunity to improve professional experience and to experience Taiwanese culture. After this internship, exceptional students are welcome to apply for our master program. Our location is in Yilan City, about 50 minutes from Taipei by car. National Ilan University (NIU) is a reputed educational institution in northeastern Taiwan. Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering in NIU mainly develops research fields including technology materials, green technology, biochemical technology, and green energy. Besides, Yilan is surrounded by three mountain regions famous by its giant trees and diverse ecosystem and is next to the Pacific Ocean with a stunning beachline. It is quite suitable for weekend travel.
