The circular economy is the main route for a company to achieve sustainable growth and to compete in the very competitive global market. The end-of-pipe treatment of wastewater from the production line is outdated. How to recover valuable and limited resources from wastewater is the aim of the current proposed study. Students who are interested in wastewater treatment and resource recovery through physical and chemical electrochemical processes will be trained and perform the tasks under the supervision of Ph.D. students. A weekly meeting between the individual students and the professor to discuss his/her data and report is required. Meanwhile, the trainees are expected to have daily interaction with local students through lab activities and after-school activities to learn about Taiwanese culture. We are expecting to host 3 to 6 students who can stay 3 to 6 months to join the program.
