1. Project goal: This project aims at the spatial resolution below centimeters, and uses the pulse-type time-of-flight technology to convert the time difference in the picosecond order into a spatial distance with a time-to-digital converter.
2. Potential advantages: This technology can be applied to the field of positron emission tomography (PET), which can effectively improve the resolution of PET images for tumor segmentation. The technology can be applied to optical pulse wave or acoustic pulse wave, and has big application potential in medical imaging. In addition to the research and development of front-end hardware, this project also develop virtual reality (VR) technologies, presenting three-dimensional medical images in an immersive virtual space, which is convenient for medical personnel.
