This program will allow you to participate in the study conducted by the Integrated MechanoBio System Laboratory for six months, as well as a perfect choice for those interested in learning basic cancer science through microfluidic models and developing drug screening algorithms. You will be familiar with working cell culture in microfluidic devices, device fabrication, basic molecular analysis, algorithms development, etc., which conveys in both wet and dry labs. Learning these techniques necessary, you will be in charge of developing an artificial-intelligent-based drug screening algorithm for three-dimensional (3D) tumor models for identifying potential drug synergies. Not only that, participants can also do their cancer research topics in a Taiwanese-style lab and a culturally diverse, vibrant academic/research environment.
Furthermore, National Cheng Kung University is located in Tainan, Taiwan, and is known for its long history. For those of you who like to enjoy the historical site, this place is also a perfect choice for you. This program is planned to provide NT$10,000-15000/month for up to 6 months (accommodation, flight tickets, VISA application, insurance, and miscellaneous fees should be borne by the students.) Please contact with Prof. Tu if you are interested.
