Program Description
The Taiwan–Vietnam Veterinary Vaccine Adjuvant Industry-Academia Research Internship Program invites outstanding undergraduate and master’s students from Vietnam to participate in a three-month research internship in Taiwan. This program integrates academic research with industrial practice, providing participants with comprehensive training in veterinary vaccine adjuvant development and biotechnology innovation.
Participants will conduct research in the host laboratory under the supervision of experienced faculty members and receive practical training through COUNTRY BEST BIOTECH CO., LTD., a leading Taiwanese biotechnology company specializing in veterinary vaccine adjuvants. The internship will provide hands-on experience in vaccine adjuvant formulation, immunological evaluation, laboratory techniques, product development, and industry-academia collaboration.
The Principal Investigator (PI) has extensive experience leading government-funded veterinary vaccine adjuvant research projects supported by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, Taiwan. The PI has also maintained long-term collaborative research and technology transfer projects with COUNTRY BEST BIOTECH CO., LTD. In addition, the PI has successfully led the New Southbound Academic Exchange Program, supervising Taiwanese students undertaking internships at the National Institute of Veterinary Research (NIVR), Vietnam, thereby establishing a strong partnership for recruiting talented Vietnamese students.

Program Duration
Three months (minimum participation period: 2 months).
Eligibility
* Outstanding undergraduate (third- or fourth-year) students or master’s students.
* Major in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Biotechnology, Life Science, Immunology, Microbiology, Biomedical Science, or related disciplines.
* Good English communication skills.
* Strong interest in vaccine research, biotechnology, and international collaboration.
Expected Outcomes
Participants will gain advanced laboratory skills, practical industrial experience, and a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s veterinary biotechnology sector. Upon completion, participants will present their research findings and are encouraged to pursue graduate studies in Taiwan, fostering long-term academic collaboration between Taiwan and Vietnam.

Accommodation: Self-funded (information and assistance will be provided by the university).
Living Expenses: Covered by the participant and supported by a monthly scholarship ranging from NT$16,000 to NT$20,000, depending on the program.
