This is an initiative internship seeking students interested in evolutionary genetics or genomics. Depending on the research projects, students may learn basic molecular techniques related to DNA or RNA analysis, fly genetics and behavioral analysis, RNA-seq data analysis, phylogenetic analysis, etc. Participants are expected to conduct a research project in a lab in 2 to 6 months. Participants may opt to attend a local research conference or sit in the class during this internship, depending on the internship period. Students with CERF B1 or above, studying in biology-related field, exploring their research potential, and planning to pursue an MS or Ph.D. program, are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants are responsible for their own travel, housing, and living expenses. They will receive a scholarship under the TEEP program. The dormitary room on NCU campus may be available upon request.
