This program aims to recruit outstanding students from Southeast Asian countries to Taiwan, providing them with an opportunity to experience Taiwan’s academic research environment while promoting international collaboration and talent development.

Project:

The research project, titled “Research on Low-Carbon Combustion Technology,” focuses on the development of advanced combustion strategies for sustainable energy applications. The main research topics include biomass combustion, the co-firing of hydrocarbon fuels with carbon-free fuels such as hydrogen and ammonia, and the application of moderate or intense low-oxygen dilution combustion technology. These approaches aim to achieve high combustion efficiency, low pollutant emissions, and improved combustion performance. Through this program, students will gain research experience in low-carbon combustion, clean energy technologies, and emission control. They will also be trained to contribute to the sustainable green energy industry, supporting carbon reduction and the transition toward net-zero energy systems.

Recruitment Countries and Academic Departments:

Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. Priority will be given to third-year undergraduate students or above from departments related to Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant fields.

Internship Period in Taiwan:

June 2026 to December 2026

Program Content:

The program includes literature review, combustion fundamentals, training in numerical simulation tools, experimental operation, data analysis, and technical report writing.

Recruitment Information:

Each student may participate in the internship for at least 2 months and up to 6 months, with a monthly stipend of NTD 15,000. The funding will partially support students’ airfare, on-campus accommodation, and basic living expenses during their stay in Taiwan.
