Many automatic devises have been applied in wildlife research, such as camera traps and automatic recording unit. With the deplying of these devises in the field, they can work continuously to collect important ecological data in the field. Although greatly reducing the human disturbance and labor, these methods usually return huge amount of video or audio data, which make extracting ecological information manually impossible. Applying maching learning technology, it is promising to process these big data, identifying the target wildlife species from them with accuracy.

In this program, we are aiming to recruit two students with information science trainging, who are also interested at wildlife study. The duration of the interns is three month. The applicant should be fluicient in English or Chinese. Each student will receive a scholarship of 45000 NTD.
