Research Exchange Opportunity: Integrated Remediation of Organics Contaminated Soil
We are inviting motivated students or early-career researchers to join a six-month research exchange program focused on innovative remediation strategies for nitrobenzene-contaminated soil.
This project will explore an integrated treatment approach combining natural weeds with in situ chemical oxidation using sodium persulfate and hydrogen peroxide. Participants will gain hands-on experience in environmental remediation research, including experimental design, laboratory testing, contaminant analysis, data interpretation, and scientific presentation.
The program aims to better understand contaminant-removal mechanisms and evaluate reductions in contaminant mass and mobility. Participants will also contribute to regular progress presentations and discussions with supervisors and research team members.
Applicants should have an academic background in Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline, with strong interest in soil and groundwater remediation, environmental chemistry, or sustainable remediation technologies.
The program will run from 1 August 2026 to 30 April 2027. A monthly stipend of NT$15,000 will be provided. Please note that accommodation and meals are not included and should be arranged independently.
Successful applicants are expected to maintain regular on-site working hours, complete required laboratory safety training, and actively participate in project-related research activities.
