This project focuses on the development of X-ray scintillator materials and related radiation detection technologies, and aims to recruit students from relevant fields such as materials science, chemistry, physics, photonics, and electrical engineering. Participants will engage in a 2–6 month international research and hands-on training program. The research topics include advanced materials design for X-ray scintillators, optical and structural characterization, synchrotron-based analysis, radioluminescence and photoluminescence studies, and scintillator-device integration. The objective of the program is to cultivate interdisciplinary research capabilities by training students in areas ranging from functional material synthesis and photophysical analysis to detector evaluation and imaging-related applications, thereby developing expertise in X-ray scintillator research and radiation detection systems. The primary target participants are students with backgrounds in materials science, physics, chemistry, and related engineering fields. Through laboratory-based research projects, participants will be involved in material preparation, spectroscopy measurements, synchrotron experiments, and device-level performance testing.
