This program integrates materials science and machine learning to advance electrochemical energy storage technologies, contributing to sustainable energy development (SDG 7) and strengthening Taiwan’s role in clean energy research.

The proposed Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) offers a 2–6 month research and training program focused on advanced materials for electrochemical energy storage. Hosted by the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech), the program combines experimental research with data-driven analysis.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in synthesizing and characterizing functional materials, including MOFs, LDHs, h-BN, and transition metal oxides. The program emphasizes electrochemical performance evaluation for energy storage systems (e.g., supercapacitors and batteries), along with basic machine learning approaches for performance optimization.

Duration: 2–6 months (research, training, and optional internship)

Financial Support: NT$15,000/month per participant

NT$12,000: living expenses (accommodation, transport)

NT$3,000: research supplies

Accommodation: Self-arranged with institutional support

Requirements: Background in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, or related fields; basic knowledge of electrochemistry/nanomaterials; English proficiency

Notes: The program promotes interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and active participation in lab work, data analysis, and academic discussions, with opportunities for publications.
