Goal and Approach
The objective of this program is to develop a scalable liquid-cooling cold plate architecture that optimizes thermal resistance and fluid dynamics to ensure reliable operation for next-generation GPU systems. Using various Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools, the student will investigate the fundamental heat transfer mechanisms within liquid-cooled cold plates. Through detailed analysis of simulation results, the student will propose and develop multiple optimized thermal designs tailored for high-performance GPU applications.
