This program aims to train next-generation biomedical innovators in smart biointerface design—integrating biomaterials engineering, nanomedicine, and translational ophthalmic research to advance precision healthcare. By bridging material science and clinical application, the program focuses on developing intelligent, bio-responsive materials and micro/nano-engineered systems that interact dynamically with biological tissues for ocular regeneration and targeted therapy. The overarching mission is to strengthen international collaboration between Taipei Medical University (TMU) and global academic and industrial partners through structured research training and mentorship. Participants will gain hands-on experience in transforming laboratory discoveries into translational innovations addressing vision-related and systemic diseases such as retinal degeneration and corneal injury.
