I. Summer Program

Through the MY Camp initiative, this program will offer cutting-edge technology courses co-developed by students from Yuan Ze University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Together, they will design and deliver a two-week English-medium instruction (EMI) curriculum covering topics such as Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Applied Data Science, and Quantum Computing Applications.

The courses will adopt a Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice. At the conclusion of the program, an “AI Innovation Showcase” will be held, where participants present their project outcomes. This capstone event enables students to reflect on their learning and demonstrate their interdisciplinary integration and problem-solving capabilities.

II. Industry Internship

This program will collaborate with leading international enterprises, including the Far Eastern Group, to provide a six-week structured internship. Internship content will be designed and managed by participating companies, while Yuan Ze University will offer administrative and academic support, forming a comprehensive industry–academia collaborative mentoring system.

Student recruitment will be conducted by designated offices at MIT, responsible for publishing internship opportunities and managing applications. Interested students are required to submit resumes, and candidates will be matched with suitable positions through a selection process conducted by the companies to ensure alignment with their expertise and interests.

Participating entities within the Far Eastern Group include Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Far Eastern International Bank, and Far Eastern Memorial Hospital. Internship roles include positions such as cybersecurity data analysis engineers and digital financial services project planners, among others, tailored to the strengths of MIT students (as shown in Table 1).

To ensure learning quality and program effectiveness, students will be required to submit a reflective internship report upon completion. The program team will also collect multi-source feedback through company evaluation surveys and mentor assessments, which will inform future program review and improvement.

III. Cross-Cultural Exchange

This program places strong emphasis on cross-cultural and international exchange. In addition to academic learning, international participants will have opportunities to engage deeply with Taiwanese society and culture, fostering mutual understanding and global connectivity.

Planned activities include cultural tours, industry visits, and local immersion experiences, allowing participants to explore Taiwan’s history, technological development, and social landscape through direct engagement. These experiences aim to strengthen cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills.

Furthermore, the program will collaborate with the Taiwan MIT Alumni Association to establish a long-term support and engagement mechanism. This network will facilitate ongoing connections, track participants’ future development in Taiwan, and support their continued academic or professional pursuits, thereby building a sustainable international collaboration ecosystem.
