TEEP (Taiwan Experience Education Program) Internship Recruitment:

Project Title：Development of Boron Molecules for Medicinal Applications

Project Overview：

Our research focuses on the integration of organic synthesis, molecular probe design, and biomedical applications to develop innovative functional molecules for cancer detection and precision therapy. We are seeking two highly motivated interns to join our research team for a project centered on the design and synthesis of boronic acid-based molecular probes and boron-containing therapeutic candidates with potential applications in biosensing, early tumor detection, and Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT).

Internship Period：

Duration: 6 months (Aug 1st, 2026 – Jan 31st, 2027)

Key Responsibilities

Bench-Top Experimentation:

Participate in the design and synthesis of functional organic molecules, including boronic acid-based probes and related compounds, using modern synthetic chemistry approaches such as multicomponent reactions.

Molecular Characterization and Evaluation:

Perform routine characterization and analysis of synthesized compounds using spectroscopic and analytical techniques, such as NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, and related methods for studying molecular recognition and sensing behavior.

Data Analysis:

Analyze experimental data to assess molecular binding behavior, sensing selectivity, fluorescence response, and structure–activity relationships of the developed compounds.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate laboratory records, summarize research findings, and present progress updates during regular group meetings.

Academic Publication:

Work closely with the research team to prepare research reports, conference materials, and manuscripts for submission to international peer-reviewed journals.

Eligibility：

Applicants must provide proof of current enrollment as a Master’s student or Ph.D. candidate for the entire duration of the internship.
