This short-term exchange program lasts for 2 to 4 months. During the exchange period, participants will receive a monthly living allowance of NT$16,000. A total of 1 to 2 positions are available.

The program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students, with preference given to those with an engineering-related background. Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in either:

• Chinese (CEFR A2 or above), or

• English (CEFR B1 or above).

Participants may choose to stay in on-campus dormitories. If needed, they may contact the program coordinator in advance to reserve accommodation. Alternatively, participants may arrange their own short-term housing near the university.

This program aims to recruit outstanding university students from New Southbound Policy countries to Taiwan to study practical applications of Generative AI.

By leveraging the open-source framework Unsloth, participants will learn efficient fine-tuning techniques for Large Language Models (LLMs). The program also integrates Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to develop intelligent applications capable of domain-specific knowledge retrieval and generation.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in:

• LLM fine-tuning and model training

• RAG system design and knowledge retrieval

• Data preprocessing and dataset construction

• AI application development and system integration

The program aims to enhance participants’ AI system development capabilities as well as their cross-cultural collaboration skills.

In addition, participants will engage in collaborative projects with local students, gaining insights into Taiwan’s AI education environment and cultural context. By the end of the program, participants are expected to complete a RAG-based AI application project, which may be presented as a technical report or research output.

The program also serves as a platform to strengthen international academic connections, encouraging participants to further explore study and research opportunities in Taiwan.

Upon completion, participants may request a certificate of course completion or internship experience.
