This program offers a 4-month international research internship (September–December 2026) at Yuan Ze University, Taiwan, focusing on Edge Artificial Intelligence (Edge AI) and intelligent embedded systems. The program is designed to provide hands-on training and research experience in FPGA/NPU-based acceleration, hardware–software co-design, embedded AI deployment, and human–machine interface (HMI) development.

The program consists of two phases:

(1) Training Phase (first 2–3 weeks) covering fundamentals of Edge AI, FPGA architecture, AI model development using Python/PyTorch, and embedded system design;

(2) Research Internship Phase, where participants work on practical projects such as AI-based vision systems, thermal image object detection, smart IoT applications, and real-time edge computing systems under faculty supervision.

👨‍🎓 Eligibility / Participant Requirements

Open to senior undergraduate (4th year) and Master’s students (2nd year)

Major in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Engineering, or related fields

Basic knowledge of programming (Python/C/C++)

Fundamental understanding of AI, machine learning, or embedded systems is preferred

English proficiency sufficient for academic communication (no official test required, but recommended)
