This project, supported by Taiwan’s TEEP (Taiwan Experience Education Program), offers international students a valuable opportunity to participate in a laboratory-based research internship in Taiwan. The program focuses on three major areas: aquaculture and ornamental fish farming, AIoT applications in smart aquaculture, and aquaculture-derived biotechnology, cosmetics, and skincare product research and development.

The project will primarily recruit students from Brawijaya University, Indonesia, with which we already have established collaborative experience, while also welcoming students from newly participating partner institutions. Through this program, we aim to strengthen existing academic partnerships, expand international cooperation networks, and promote future joint projects and bilateral university collaboration.

Students will be guided by faculty members and work closely with Taiwanese students in research teams. The internship is designed to provide training from basic concepts to hands-on experimental skills, allowing participants to gain practical experience in laboratory work, research methods, and interdisciplinary applications. In addition to laboratory training, students may also have opportunities to visit relevant aquaculture farms, ornamental fish facilities, smart aquaculture technology sites, and biotechnology-related units, thereby enhancing both academic and practical understanding.

Recruitment is expected to begin in May 2026, and students may choose either a 2-month or 6-month internship period based on program arrangements. Selected participants will receive financial support through the TEEP program, including a monthly scholarship to help cover living and accommodation expenses in Taiwan.

By joining this program, students will not only improve their research capacity and professional knowledge, but also strengthen their English communication skills, cross-cultural understanding, and international academic competitiveness. This project is expected to serve as an important platform for talent cultivation, academic exchange, and long-term international collaboration in the field of aquaculture and related innovations.
