SEARCH PROGRAMS

Field of interest: Nursing, Long-term care, Aging, etc. In recent years, Taiwan has actively developed the New Southbound Policy, aiming to penetrate the Southeast Asian market in nursing care, especially for Vietnam. In recent years, more and more Taiwan universities collaborated with Vietnamese universities and hospitals, where nursing care and ageing are gradually gaining attention. Taiwan boasts a well-established public health system and a sound national health insurance system. This program will foster collaboration and interdisciplinary teaching and research. Through hospital and community health centers visits, students will be trained to think diversely, gaining professional knowledge and skills. Additionally, it provides talent and further education channels for university hospitals involved in Vietnam.

Content: This program includes various aspects, tailored to students' interests and levels:

(1) Course Participation Courses will systematically introduce Taiwan's pioneering technology applications of nursing care (options include international topic discussion, Migrant worker health, geriatric nursing, community health care, Smart healthcare, etc.).

(2) Field Visits to relevant organizations (options include health institutions, long-term care organizations, hospitals, National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), etc.).

(3) Cultural Exploration

Eligibility:

1. Graduate students or holding master degree (or above), with priority given to those who plan to pursue nursing Ph.D. degree in Taiwan.

2. Has good English conversation skills.

Proficiency in English is preferred.

Duration: 3 months (The period for coming to Taiwan is from September to November.)

Application fee USD$80 (Application fees are non-refundable if the applicant is not admitted.)

Subsidy: TWD$ 12,000 per month (prorated by days if the stay is less than one month).

Students are responsible for covering their own living expenses during their stay in Taiwan.

Expenses to be borne by the student

1.Quad or double room dormitory on campus (TWD$ 5000-8000/per month). You may also choose to stay off campus at your own arrangement.

2.Your own round-trip airfare, visa or ARC, and insurance.

Period of Apply: From 1 May to 31 July. 2026.

Notice: Working is not allowed during your stay in Taiwan.
