Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Tatung University — MEMS LAB Recruitment & Program Overview
MEMS LAB is dedicated to integrating mechanical design, materials engineering, and sustainable technologies, translating cutting-edge innovations into real-world industrial applications and competitive engineering practices. We provide a comprehensive hands-on research environment and resources to cultivate talented engineers capable of solving practical challenges. We are currently advancing three core research programs and sincerely invite motivated students with a passion for engineering innovation to join our team.
■ Project 1: Next-Generation Automotive “Non-Contact Clutch” Development
This project aims to overcome the limitations of traditional friction-based systems by integrating precision mechanical design with advanced materials to develop low-wear, high-efficiency non-contact clutch systems for future smart and electric vehicles.
■ Project 2: Vehicle Carbon Emission Analysis & ESG Sustainability (Aligned with SBTi)
In response to global net-zero trends, this project focuses on developing lifecycle-based carbon emission models for vehicles. It integrates ESG principles and aligns with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to support data-driven strategies for meaningful carbon reduction in the automotive industry.
■ Project 3: Flying Drone Soccer Program
This program combines flight control, structural design, and system integration. MEMS LAB has secured a dedicated facility supported by the Ministry of Education to develop and implement a drone soccer program, including drone modification, competitive strategy, and arena operations.
■ Benefits: Scholarship & Accommodation Support
Participants in these projects will receive a three-month project-based scholarship (NTD 15,000 per month), along with assistance in arranging accommodation, allowing students to fully focus on research and hands-on development.
■ Important Notes
– Applicants are required to submit a health examination report
– Prior to arrival in Taiwan, participants must obtain appropriate medical insurance coverage
We welcome students who are interested in smart vehicles, sustainability engineering, or drone technologies to join MEMS LAB and explore the limitless possibilities of engineering innovation together.
