This TEEP program provides international students with hands-on training in AI-assisted cancer genomics. Participants will learn to analyze cancer panel sequencing data using the R package maftools for mutation profiling, visualization, and interpretation. The program further integrates Model Context Protocol (MCP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI agent skills to create an interactive learning environment in which students can use natural language to control analytical workflows, execute structured analysis procedures, interpret results, and generate scientific reports.

Through collaborative projects and guided practice, students will gain practical experience in bioinformatics, data science, and artificial intelligence. They will explore how AI technologies, including skill-guided AI agents, enhance the interpretation of complex genomic data and support reproducible analysis in precision oncology. The program also promotes international collaboration and cross-disciplinary learning, connecting participants with Taiwan’s growing innovation ecosystem in computational biology and healthcare AI.

The minimum duration of the program is 2 months.

Scholarship Information:

The scholarship will be provided based on the participant’s actual number of days in Taiwan. For stays of less than one full month, the scholarship will be calculated proportionally according to the number of days stayed in Taiwan during that month. For example, if the monthly scholarship is NT$20,000 (approximately US$630), the amount will be calculated as 20,000 / 30 × number of days in Taiwan.

Accommodation Information:

Accommodation will be arranged by the Office of International Affairs in coordination with the housing office. The accommodation fee is NT$520 per week (approximately US$16) for Mingde Dormitory and Jude Dormitory, and NT$1,000 per week (approximately US$31) for Zongde and Yide Dormitories. Charges begin from Sunday, and any stay shorter than one week will still be charged as one full week. In addition, a room cleaning fee of NT$600 per stay (approximately US$19) is required. Bedding may also be rented, with a bedding cleaning fee of NT$500 per stay (approximately US$16).
