This 3-month Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) at Kun Shan University, Taiwan, offers an industry-academia internship opportunity for outstanding students from the Philippines to participate in the :Development and Verification of a Multi-Tool Wear Prediction System for CNC Machining Processes Based on Current Monitoring and Industrial IoT. The project aims to develop a practical smart manufacturing system for real factory environments by combining current monitoring, Industrial IoT data acquisition, signal processing, and machine learning for multi-tool wear prediction. Participants will join a three-stage training program from August to October 2026: foundational coursework and laboratory training , industry-based internship and data collection , and on-site validation plus final reporting. The program plans to recruit 3 participants for a 3-month stay and is designed to help trainees gain hands-on experience in CNC machining, sensor-based monitoring, industrial data analysis, and predictive maintenance applications. An allowance of NTD 16,000 per month will be provided. No registration fee is required. Accommodation is not charged by the program or host unit, but participants are generally expected to arrange their own housing, and actual cost will depend on the housing type and length of stay. The project budget is arranged to support interns’ basic living expenses during the internship period. Other expected costs, unless otherwise specified, include international/local transportation, visa or residence procedures, personal insurance, and personal expenses. Applicants should be at least 3rd-year students in universities and should have a strong interest in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, Industrial IoT, signal processing, or machine learning. This project is especially suitable for students who wish to explore smart machinery and gain practical research and internship experience in Taiwan.
