With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), there have been breakthroughs in the structural design methods of mechanical components. This project aims to focus on introducing AI architectures into the analysis, simulation, and design methods of the mechanical behavior of mechanical components. By combining these two approaches, the project seeks to enhance the intelligence of mechanical design and overcome traditional mechanical design optimization problems. The project aims to invite outstanding international young graduate students (with backgrounds in artificial intelligence, mechanics, vibration, acoustics, mechanical engineering, or applied physics) to participate in and learn about this technological development through the TEEP (Taiwan Experience Education Programs). The project team has a long history of research on vibration and sound in mechanical structures and has established relevant resources. In recent years, they have combined AI with optimization algorithms in their research. This project will collaborate with Professor Arun Kumar Sangaiah (who specializes in artificial intelligence). Through the resources of the two laboratories, the internship program will provide excellent learning opportunities for the students and allow them to fully utilize their abilities, achieving a mutually beneficial learning and research outcome. Students will be stationed there for three months, during which they will participate in training on the operation of laboratory equipment and attend regular research meetings to learn the background knowledge, design tools, and research integration skills related to the project topic.
