SEARCH PROGRAMS

The Visiting Student will enroll in molecular biotechnology-related courses offered by Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) and join the Infectious Diseases Laboratory to actively participate in the Principal Investigator’s research projects. The core research topics will encompass: • Translational medicine for Tuberculosis (TB) • Molecular epidemiology of bacterial Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) • Clinical research on HIV/AIDS In addition to laboratory and coursework, the program will arrange for the Visiting Student to participate in academic seminars, group discussions, and cross-cultural exchange activities to enrich their overall experience in Taiwan. Program Duration & Scholarship • Recruitment Quota: 1 Visiting Student. • Duration: A maximum of four (4) months. • Scholarship / Financial Support: To help subsidize living and research-related expenses, the accepted Visiting Student will receive a total maximum stipend of 60,000 NTD. This amount will be distributed evenly across the duration of the program (e.g., 20,000 NTD per month for a 3-month stay, or 15,000 NTD per month for a 4-month stay).

  • Fee: • Accommodation: Visiting Students may apply for on-campus dormitories. Please note that space is limited and placement is not guaranteed. The dormitory fee is 1,050 NTD per week. If on-campus housing cannot be secured, the Visiting Students will be responsible for arranging their own off-campus accommodation.
    • Living Expenses: To be covered by the Visiting Student.
    • Transportation: All travel costs, including round-trip international airfare and local transportation within Taiwan, are the responsibility of the Visiting Student.
