Internship program for international elite Internship program in advanced nanomaterials science for green energy technology at National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung

I. Description:

Energy crisis and environmental pollution are two major challenges with increasing population and growing economy. With the aid of modern green material technology, such as supercapacitor, fuel cell, photocatalytic hydrogen production and environmental remediation, we can mitigate the negative impact to the globe and maintain a sustainable energy source and ecosystem in a cost-effective way. National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) has grown tremendously and recognized as one of Taiwan's important research and learning institution with international distinction. NSYSU is ranked in the top 1% by ESI in the fields of materials science and chemistry. The NSYSU campus is uniquely situated at the crossing of hills and sea, and adjacent to the Kaohsiung Harbor. The spectacular beach offers a natural venue for recreation and water sports, and the sunset is the most popular scenery sought by tourists from all over the world. In this program, we provide research internships for elite international students to learn and study advanced nanomaterials science for green technology in NSYSU. After taking courses related to materials science with domestic students, students in this program will be assigned to work on their own projects to practice professional knowledge and skills. This professional internship will last for 3-4 months.
