The scientific part of the project is focused on the pollination of Ficus septica. There are two experiments involving the pollinating fig wasps. First, to count the number of pollinating wasps in recently pollinated figs and secondly set sticky traps into the trees to catch flying pollinating wasps. These two experiments will permit to understand the pattern of pollination of F. septica and are very time-consuming experiments. The interns will have a internship for 2 to 3 months between September to November receiving a monthly stipend of 15000NT$. Moreover, the candidates are required to have a background in ecology and be fluent in English.
