Our laboratory is dedicated to advancing green nanotechnology through the use of traditional medicinal herbs as sustainable bioresources. By isolating key bioactive compounds from these natural sources, we harness their intrinsic chemical properties as both reducing and capping agents to synthesize nanomaterials with potent, broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. In parallel, we employ high-resolution mass spectrometry–based techniques to systematically investigate bacterial adaptive responses and survival strategies under nanomaterial-induced stress. Additionally, our group is developing cutting-edge spatial mass spectrometry methodologies to map the biodistribution and tissue penetration of toxic compounds. We are seeking outstanding senior (3rd or 4th year), or graduate master students who are able to work collaboratively within a team and can commit to this project for a period of approximately 2 to 6 months.
