This project focuses on the integration of two-dimensional (2D) materials with microfluidic systems and thermoelectric devices for advanced sensing, energy conversion, and biomedical-related applications. The research combines materials synthesis, device fabrication, and system-level integration, aiming to develop next-generation energy-efficient and multifunctional optoelectronic and sensing platforms. Key research directions include: Synthesis and characterization of 2D materials (e.g., TMDCs such as WS₂, MoS₂) Integration of 2D materials into microfluidic platforms for controlled transport and sensing Development of thermoelectric devices for energy harvesting and thermal sensing Investigation of coupled physical mechanisms (thermal, electrical, and fluidic interactions) Exploration of applications in biomedical sensing, environmental monitoring, and energy systems Participants will gain hands-on experience in interdisciplinary research combining nanomaterials, semiconductor processing, and device engineering.
