#Join the Future of Nanomedicine in Taipei! Tatung University invites talented young scholars from around the world (with a focus on New Southbound Policy countries) to participate in the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP). Our laboratory, led by Associate Professor Hsi-Chin Wu, is at the intersection of Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Biotechnology. We are looking for passionate interns to contribute to cutting-edge research in intelligent biomedical systems. #Research Focus Participants will engage in high-impact research involving: --Smart Gene Delivery: Designing nanoscale carriers (calcium phosphate and polymers) to enhance cellular uptake and gene transfection. --Tissue Repair Systems: Fabricating biodegradable hydrogels with tunable release profiles for regenerative medicine. #What We Offer Monthly Stipend: NT$16,000 per month for up to 4 months (Total NT$64,000). Duration: Minimum 2 months; maximum 4 months. Hands-on Training: Access to advanced analytical equipment including FTIR, DLS, Zeta Potential, and cell culture facilities. Global Networking: Work in an interdisciplinary environment with professional guidance and industry-academia insights. #Participant Requirements Academic Background: Currently enrolled or recently graduated in Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (required); basic knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is a plus but not mandatory. Skills: Prior experience in basic laboratory wet-lab techniques or material synthesis is highly preferred. Qualities: Proactive attitude, strong analytical skills, and a desire to experience Taiwan's vibrant academic culture.

  • Fee: The following overview outlines the estimated costs and financial support for the program. While we provide a competitive stipend to offset your expenses, please note that certain costs remain the responsibility of the intern.

    1. Financial Support
    Program Stipend (+NT$16,000 / month): This allowance is provided by the TEEP program for up to 4 months to help cover your daily expenses in Taiwan.

    2. Estimated Monthly Expenses
    --On-Campus Housing (Approx. NT$3,000 – $6,000): Optional shared dormitory rooms are available. This is a self-paid expense for participants.
    --Living Costs (Approx. NT$8,000 – $12,000): This estimate includes food, local transportation, and utilities (electricity/water).

    3. One-time Expenses
    --Insurance & Visa (Approx. NT$2,000 – $4,000): Participants are responsible for mandatory travel/health insurance and visa processing fees.
    --Airfare: Round-trip airfare to and from Taiwan is the responsibility of the participant.

    4. Future Opportunities at TTU
    Tuition Waivers & Scholarships: Interns who later apply for full-time degree programs at Tatung University (TTU) may be eligible for additional scholarships and tuition waivers, subject to eligibility.
